The procedure for applying for a Korean police record check for residents of NSW, QLD and NT is the following:
1. Complete one application form for Police Record Check 2. Send this form (JP seal needed) to the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Sydney along with a photocopy of the first page of your passport (JP seal needed) and 1 passport sized photograph. Please also provide a self-addressed, stamped return envelope.
3. The Consulate General will validate your application form and return it to you along with the mailing address in and instructions on purchasing coupons international from the post office.
4. You will then be required to post the form to the Korean National Police Agency where it will be processed within 3-4 weeks.
5. The Consulate General does not charge a fee for this service.
6. You can also lodge it in person and have it stamped the same day. Ensure you bring your passport.
